Janaway Travel was born on 6th June 1960, yes that’s last century! 

Geoff Janaway and Harry Arnull , started the business in Camden High Street, and it grew from there. We used to specialise in Portugal and we were the first operator to do trips to Lisbon and the Algarve. We stopped this in the 70’s when an outbreak of cholera hit Portugal.

We are based in Camden Town, our home for over 60 years, and now offer a bespoke service for our clients. We are a small team of three John, Jane, and Joanne, the three J’s and we work hard for our clients, but more importantly we are very well travelled.  Together John, Jane  and Joanne have over 100 years of combined experience in the travel industry. Not bad, for a small business. Our extended knowledge of destination means you will get good advice and more importantly, honesty. You would be amazed how many people come in wanting to go to St Lucia and end up on a Nile Cruise because we listen to what you want and suggest a suitable destination that you may well not have thought about.

We are proud to say that we are a Travel Agent  This means we don’t just do round the world travel, but can book and issue train and coach tickets, both British and European. John is exceptionally good on USA and Canadian tailor made holidays, and equally so on Australian trips. Jane, is great for family holidays, couples holidays, weddings and honeymoons.  We love doing honeymoons .
