I was lucky enough to be invited on this small luxury agent’s trip to see and stay in the Eagles Palace Villas in Halkidiki.
3 hours from London – nice and early start with Easyjet from London Gatwick but sadly a 1.40 minute transfer but once you arrive at the hotel ,WOW –a backdrop of azure sea and beautiful green trees with an abundance of flora and fauna everywhere and to top it all the famous Mount Athos.
The Villas are relatively new and each have their own pool (all be it a bit bigger than a plunge pool) – your own check in area, bar, restaurant, indoor and outdoor pool and gym. It feels new, clean and inviting with a lovely outdoor area for lunch and dinner. There is also a very inviting bar and seating area offering a great choice of beverages for all palates.
My Villa was amazing, large seating area and small kitchenette, stocked bar (not free) large bed with amazing views of the sea from my bed, 2 toilets, bath and 2 showers. The Villas link themselves a short downhill slop to the Eagles Hotel and spa, we were fortunate to dine by the beach and experience some wine tasting and olive oil tasting. There was Michelin starred restaurants and to top it all a lovely local town 10 minutes away in a taxi to Ouranopolis - typical little Greek village of boutiques, souvenir shops , restaurants and a sea line of tavernas , the smells and feel were homely and welcoming.
The hotel offers a variety of different room categories for couples, singles and families. The facilities and setting were lovely, the hotel have not left anything off the list that one needs on a luxury holiday from kids club to water sports , boats and a private island where you can be taken for hours or the day.
I would love to tell you more about this beautiful property and will happily do so should anyone be interested in staying at this truly amazing hotel and not forgetting the beautiful Halkidiki.
