A recent trip took me to the city of Seattle in the US state of Washington. Such a great place, it's a little bit San Francisco and a little bit Camden Town. These photos don't do it justice. I was lucky enough to do a trip around the city in a sea plane, and some of the photos are from there...surrounded by beautiful islands, all easily visited by ferry and the cruise ships to Alaska. This is a very special city, you will notice the reference to GUM. There is a wall of bubble gum that is constantly cleared, repeatedly replaced and serves no purpose, but it attracts hundreds and hundreds of tourists every year who have their photo taken beside it. Seattle is a great place to visit and it's famous for it rainy weather however I was lucky enough to have two very dry days.
If you're looking for a city break with a difference give Seattle a try - you'll not be disappointed.
