Great for a quick weekend away for some sun, golf, tennis or food and drink!
Just over 2 hours from the UK and a 20 minute transfer to Vilamoura , so within 3 hours with hand luggage you can be at your hotel with a Gin and Tonic (at 11 am) like me.
Beautiful long beach for miles, a classic Marina with some lovely restaurants catering for all budgets and superb bars with music from karaoke, live bands or resident singers.
I travelled with some girlfriends the beginning of our alphabet holidays yearly (we started with A for the Algarve) and stayed in the Dom Pedro Golf hotel on all inclusive basis. The hotel, rooms and public areas were adequate and the hotel had a lovely good sized pool and spa with only a mere 10 minute walk round to the Marina. The all inclusive basis was good for us girls as we do like a tipple or two and the drinks were all served nicely with a vast choice. The food was acceptable but we declined dinner as this was just a slightly larger version than lunch with a pasta station and headed round to the Marina.
I would highly recommend for all from families to groups and couples.
