I've been to Crete twice before in this area . I will not say that the 2 previous hotels were not nice or their views not amazing etc but what I will say is this . The Elounda Beach villas is one of those hotels that oozes peace , calm and tranquility. For me it is an hotel / resort that you need to experience for yourself to appreciate it .
The beach is beautiful , clear waters allowing you to see your nail varnish on your toes , the staff always smiling , sincere smiles of happiness . The food on offer will cover all palettes and the bar areas offer cocktails , high drinks , wine or a simple beer without breaking the bank .
There are so many different room varieties you will be spoilt for choice and the concierge team are happy to assist with anything you need. I was fortunate to have a sea view bungalow with a private pool. OMG , it was divine and my shower in the bathroom came with its own steam room! I experienced the hotel spa which also offered a long list of relaxing treatments.
Elounda village is a 8 - 10 mins taxi ride from the hotel. There are some lovely shops , cocktail bars and restaurants or if you prefer you can sit and people watch the afternoon away while the boats bob up and down silently on the harbour side. This hotel will be my late September go to for the future I’m sure .
