First stop Bangkok for 3 nights we stayed at the Pathumwan Princess a lovely hotel situated with direct access to the MBK shopping and office complex and with in easy walking distance to the city’s main entertainment and shopping hub Saim Square.
Lots to do in Bangkok
We visited some of the many temples. Took a boat down a floating market and travelled to the famous Maeklong Railway Market. Eat some amazing street food and went to the rooftop bar called Above Eleven with lovely views of the city. Also, a must do is to Visit the Grand palace along with the Wat Pho temple with the enormous reclining Buddha.
After our 3 days in Bangkok, we took a 1 hour flight up to Surat where we was picked up and transferred to the stunning rainforest at Elephant hills. We spent 2 days and 1 night meeting the elephants learning about their history, feeding them, watching them bath. We also went on a jungle trek where we saw lots of different wildlife. We went Canoeing along the Sok river and spent the night in a Luxury tent a total. This was truly a memorable experience and would highly recommend it.
Finally, our trip ended with a private transfer to Kata (Phuket). Where we stayed in the beautiful boutique hotel Mom Tris Royale villa overlooking stunning views of Kata Noi and kata beach. We visited Big Buddha went paddle boarding. Visited the weekend market and eat at some of the lovely beach restaurants along with trying the street food. We went to the peaceful A blanket and Pillow café where we drunk cocktails while looking out at the stunning ocean views and watching the sun set.
We also done a day trip to James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay, on a Speed boat. Where we Paddled around the caves and lagoons of Hong Island in a canoe. Enjoyed a lovely buffet lunch at Ko Panyi village, swam and sunbathed on Naka Noi beach.
Ellie also took the opportunity to do the open water dive course. I also went snorkelling and saw some amazing fish and sea life too. I’d like to say a big thank you to Rachel and her team at the Oceanic Dive centre Phuket for making Ellies first diving experience a great one. Please go and check them out if your ever in Phuket they were great.
If you’re looking for something a bit more relaxing why not try a boat trip with the lovely La Moet. Lotta and her team will take care of you on a cosy comfortable wooden boat where you can leave all the stress behind you and just chill out and enjoy the day or night.
